Elizabeth Sisley
Liz believes great leadership begins from within. For leaders, understanding what drives them, what sustains them and where their energy is best spent is a core part of the toolkit, and central to bringing out the best in their team.
Liz’s career spans three decades across the public and private sectors, including more than a decade in executive roles. As a senior executive in the Department of Defence, she led large-scale transformation. Along the way she has navigated the competing demands of ambition, wellbeing and a full life, and the support of coaches and mentors made a lasting difference. Coaching is her way of passing that on.
Liz partners with emerging leaders, people at a turning point in their careers and leaders working through a challenge. Often those challenges are about people: a relationship that has become strained, a team that has lost its way, or a boss they can’t quite seem to get traction with. She helps them step back, get clear on what they want and choose their next step with intent. She brings a grounded view of resilience: not endurance at any cost, but the judgement to know when to persevere and when to draw a line.
Her style is curious, calm and collaborative. Through thoughtful questions she helps people reframe what’s in front of them and find their own way forward, so they leave with greater confidence, clarity and a sense of direction that lasts.
Liz is an IECL-trained coach and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and holds Associate Alumni status with Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
